The clinician who orders your test should advise you on how to get the results. You will be advised how soon after the test to contact the surgery and it helps the practice if you do not ring for results until after 11am when our phones are less busy.

If you have a review appointment planned, it is generally better to wait for this opportunity to get your results.  Otherwise you may end up speaking to someone who hasn't been involved with your care, making results harder to interpret.

Most results take approx. 1 week to come back to surgery.
