Patient Information & Resources

GP Appointments:

If you need medical advice or treatment, please ring us on 0151 733 2800 or contact us online via our website using PATCHS – our opening hours are 8am - 6.30pm.

Appointments can only be booked on the day. Morning appointments are available from 8am and afternoon appointments from 1pm.

You will be asked to provide some brief information about your healthcare to a member of our team on the telephone or in person at our reception desk.

You will be given the option of a telephone consultation or face to face appointment with a member of our clinical team that day.

PATCHS (Online consultations)

For routine or non-urgent issues, you can also contact us online at any time by filling out an online consultation form via PATCHS. We will respond to you as soon as possible, usually within two working days.

If you require any other adjustments before your appointment, please let us know.

Evenings and weekends

If you need urgent help or advice, particularly during the evenings and weekends when our practice is closed, please contact NHS 111. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 111.nhs.uk or by dialling 111.

NHS 111 is staffed by fully trained advisors and clinicians who can provide over the phone advice and can arrange face to face appointments with an out of hours GP, at a local walk-in centre, or a local hospital A&E department if required.

Nurse Appointments:

Patients can see a Practice Nurse by pre-booking an appointment in advance. Please contact reception on 0151 733 2800 to book an appointment.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer online booking of Practice Nurse appointments as appointments with the Nurse vary in length depending on the reason for the appointment and this function is not currently available on our online access website.

Cancelling Appointments:

Please cancel any appointments you are unable to attend. This ensures the appointment can be booked by a patient who does need to see a GP.

What to do when we are closed

You can contact the NHS 111 service by dialling 111 from your telephone or searching for 111 online if you are using the internet. The NHS 111 service will provide you with any necessary care that you may need if your GP surgery is closed.

Named Accountable General Practitioner

Upon registration with the surgery all patients will have been allocated a 'Named Accountable GP'. This is purely an administrative procedure and does not affect your care at the surgery in any way. All patients are welcome to see the GP of their choice, there is no obligation for a GP to see a patient on the basis that they are their named GP.

If you are unsure of your Named Accountable GP and wish to find out please contact us by telephone to enquire.
